Record
Trouble Calls
USSI OMS is a GIS based Outage Management System that operates
on multiple dispatch/call center computers and server/s.
The software identifies, records, tracks, and reports power
outages and facilitates safe, prompt, restoration of power.
USSI OMS interfaces to the Customer Information System to
identify the customer and input their account information
and location. The Software can interface to existing IVR
applications to collect caller information. USSI OMS is
fully integrated with USSI
MAP-FM for a very powerful and affordable total solution
or can be sold separately.
Show
Map/GIS Locations
The software is integrated with USSI Mapping-FM to provide
a very powerful and economical total system or can be integrated
to your mapping system. USSI OMS with the mapping information
locates the customer, the electric system components, and
the open component on the system map. It then provides a
dynamic presentation of the calls, outages, affected customers,
and the upstream and downstream circuit condition in both
graphical and tabular form.
Accurately
Predict Open Elements
The system uses trouble call information (and the AMR system
if available) to predict the most likely open circuit component.
Once identified, the outage and its affected customers are
displayed in tabular form and on the map. Immediate feedback
is provided as to whether the trouble calls are part of
an existing outage.
Assemble
and Track Crews
Crews can be assembled and assigned to the outage. As crews
are dispatched, truck symbols are graphically placed on
the map. A Crew Call module can be used to automatically
phone crew members and keep records of employee responses.
The software can interface to existing AVL systems or to
USSI's optional AVL system.
Restore
and Record the Outage
Once the trouble is cleared and the circuit restored, the
outage is recorded as closed and is automatically recorded
and saved. Standard reports include the number of customers
affected, the timing of the outages, when the predictions
were made, what device operated out, when the outage was
verified, when service was restored, which customers were
affected, the causes of the outages, etc.
